This 2-hour course is designed for adult learners with no prior training experience on a computer. Adult learners who are new to computers or have learned on their own, whether at home or work, are encouraged to attend this class to determine how much they already know about computers, then select their “next” computer training class with confidence.
Adult learners will use the computers in our computer lab to complete:
1. A Computer Skills Inventory – to determine what you know, or what you would like to learn, about computer software and hardware.
2. An overview of Adult Workforce Development computer courses – to answer questions you may have about the recommended prerequisites and learning outcomes of each class.
3. An introduction to the Windows 7 operating system – to give adult learners a sample of how the instructor-guided courses in the Adult Workforce Development division are facilitated.
